My name is Craig Ratz and I am the owner of Fire Dynamics LLC.  I started my firefighting career in August of 1989 by joining the Fire Department as a paid-on call firefighter.  In 1992, I graduated with a degree in Fire Protection and subsequently got sworn in as Portage’s first fulltime Fire Inspector in February of 1993.  I proudly served my community for over 31 years.  During my tenor, I obtained over 100 certifications and dedicated my life to protecting people and businesses by responding to thousands of 911 calls, training area firefighters as an Instructor with Madison College, conducting over 40,000 fire inspections and presented fire safety to over 80,000 people.  It was truly an honor and privilege to serve. 

 

In 2013, I started Fire Dynamics LLC.  The idea of starting my own fire safety company stemmed from the fire inspections I was conducting and the response from business owners, maintenance and safety personnel.  I had countless conversations and code enforcement issues to determine that there was a need for a quality fire safety company to truly protect a property in every aspect possible at a very affordable price.  Fire Dynamics was created and is now my way of continuing to protect and serve.

 

About me personally, I have an 18 years old, beautiful daughter named Cameran who I enjoy spending time with boating, skiing and hitting the ski hills in the winter.  My favorite thing to do is watch her play basketball or volleyball. My second favorite activity would be to pursue monster deer in the fall.  All of which I am equally passionate about as protecting people from fire.
